Climate Crisis
Over the last 20 years, hundreds of scientific research studies have been conducted and written that show the climate is changing. While certain elements of climate change may not be easy to understand or model, it is more apparent now than at any time in the past that weather disasters are becoming more extreme in intensity, size in terms of the land area affected, and costs to recover from. No matter the cause of the change it must be recognized that these types of disasters are occurring more frequently; the chances increase that such a disaster will affect your community. Communities around the world will need comprehensive plans to mitigate, respond, and recover from these extreme disasters.
